Top Honors os National Quran Recitation Competition Awarded to Shaya, Shaba and Shaim!

The prestigious prizes of the 37th National Quran Recitation Competition have been awarded to Fathimath Shaya Zahir, Aishath Shaba, and Ahmed Shaim Ridha.
In the Hafiz category, Fathimath Shaya Zahir, representing Tadreesul Quranul Kareem, won first place overall. In the Memorization category, Aishath Shaba, representing the North Miladhunmadulu Atoll Council, secured first place. Meanwhile, in the Recitation with Text category, Ahmed Shaim Ridha, representing the Hadhdhunmathi Atoll Council, achieved first place.
This year’s competition featured the most valuable prizes ever presented in its history. The distinguished awards included the Presidential Honor Shield, a cash prize of MVR 100,000 from the President, special presidential awards, and a fully funded presidential PhD scholarship in any field and country of choice.
Additional honors included a MVR 75,000 cash prize, commemorative certificates, and trophies presented by the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, the National Center for the Holy Quran, Maldives Zakat House, and the Islamic Development Fund. The Maldives Hajj Corporation Limited also awarded an Umrah trip to the winners.
The prizes were presented by His Excellency President Dr Mohamed Muizzu, President of the Republic of Maldives, during the closing ceremony of the competition.
