Visit Maldives Corporation (VMC) has launched its first Super Yacht Promotion Campaign, running from September to December 2025, to position the Maldives as a premier destination for luxury yacht tourism. The campaign targets high-net-worth individuals travelling on private and chartered super yachts, promoting the Maldives as a must-visit stop on the Indian Ocean’s luxury maritime circuit.
The initiative showcases the Maldives’ pristine lagoons, world-class marine biodiversity, and tailor-made experiences for yacht owners, captains, and charterers. By aligning the destination with Monaco’s prestige and Asia’s expanding yachting routes, VMC aims to strengthen the Maldives’ standing as an exclusive stop on the historic Spice Route for global yacht travellers.
As part of the campaign, the Maldives participated in the Monaco Yacht Show, one of the world’s most prestigious events in the superyacht industry. Activities include strategic meetings with global yachting professionals, targeted marketing to over 6,000 industry contacts, and influencer collaborations. The campaign also features a dedicated Maldives showcase on the Spice Route website, a special brochure, and a series of digital activations across global platforms.
“Through this campaign, we are positioning the Maldives as the Indian Ocean’s leading luxury superyacht destination,” said Ibrahim Shiuree, CEO & MD of Visit Maldives Corporation. “Our goal is to strengthen engagement with industry leaders and capture an underserved market of high-value travellers.”
The campaign comes amid strong tourism growth, with 1.59 million arrivals recorded as of 22 September 2025. By entering the superyacht segment, the Maldives aims to diversify its tourism portfolio and enhance its appeal among the world’s elite voyagers.
