Pakistan stormed to a convincing 2-0 win over India in Match 3 of the Commonwealth Beach Handball Championship 2025, showcasing their dominance on the sand.

Led by Ahmad Hassan Baig, who netted 14 points and was named Player of the Match, Pakistan controlled the pace from start to finish. They took the first set 26–9 and followed up with a 34–13 win in the second, sealing a massive 60–22 overall victory.

Strong support came from Muhammad Shahid Bashir, Imran Khan, and Kashif Ali, each scoring 8 points. Their collective effort overwhelmed India’s defense, leaving little room for a comeback.

India fought hard through Seetharaman Sakkaravarthi (6 points) and Anish Yadav (5 points), but their scoring power could not match Pakistan’s relentless attack.

This win puts Pakistan in a strong position early in the tournament, underlining their credentials as serious contenders in the prestigious event.

The Commonwealth Beach Handball Championship 2025 is being held in Kulhudhuffushi City, Maldives, bringing together teams from across the Commonwealth for a thrilling debut edition. Organized in collaboration with the International Handball Federation, the tournament aims to promote beach handball as a growing sport in island nations and beyond.
