National College of Policing and Law Enforcement holds graduation for three training programmes

The National College of Policing and Law Enforcement held its graduation ceremony on 7 September at the Iskandhar Building, awarding certificates to participants of three specialised training programmes.
Graduates of the 12th and 13th Certified Trainer Courses and the 5th Scene of Crime Officers Basic Course received their certificates, while memorial plaques were presented to top performers.
- Inspector of Police Ibrahim Ali was named top graduate of the 12th Certified Trainer Course.
- Senior Sergeant Alaau Mohamed achieved the same honour in the 13th Certified Trainer Course.
- Sergeant Ahmed Nihad was recognised as the leading participant in the 5th Scene of Crime Officers Basic Course.
The ceremony was attended by Assistant Commissioner of Police Ahmed Abdul Rahman, who also serves as Executive Director of the College.
In total, 51 participants completed the three courses. They represented a broad range of institutions, including the Maldives Police Service, National Integrity Commission, Human Rights Commission of Maldives, Maldives Immigration, Maldives Customs Service, and the Maldives Correctional Service.
According to the College, the Certified Trainer Course is a key programme designed to strengthen the police service’s teaching capacity, enhancing officers’ instructional skills to deliver training more effectively across various educational initiatives.
