56 New Customs Officers Take Oath of Office in Special Ceremony

In a special ceremony held this morning, 56 newly recruited officers of the Maldives Customs Service (MCS) officially took the Customs Oath, marking the beginning of their service in the nation’s border security and trade facilitation efforts.

The Oath was administered by Family Court Judge Uz. Abdulla Mohamed, who presided over the ceremony. Addressing the officers, Judge Abdulla Mohamed urged them to remain sincere to their Oath, and to uphold the core values and integrity of Customs at all times.

Commissioner General of Customs, Fathimath Dhiyana, welcomed the new officers into the MCS family, emphasising the critical role Customs plays in border enforcement and facilitating trade. In her remarks, she encouraged the officers to serve the country with pride, vigilance, and loyalty, while maintaining the highest standards of integrity and professionalism.

The ceremony marks a significant step in strengthening the capacity of Maldives Customs Service to respond to the evolving needs of national security and economic development.
