Registration Opens for 37th National Quran Recitation Competition

The Ministry of Islamic Affairs has officially opened registration for the 37th National Quran Recitation Competition, inviting participants from across the country to sign up via the government’s OneGov portal. The registration deadline is set for Thursday, 17 July 2025.
Scheduled to begin on 18 September 2025, the annual competition remains a cornerstone of the government’s religious calendar, aimed at fostering Quranic excellence and encouraging engagement in the recitation and memorisation of the Holy Quran.
This year’s edition comes with several key enhancements to elevate the overall standard of the event. The Ministry has announced:
- Increased prize money across categories
- Stricter judging criteria to ensure fairness and consistency
- Improved participation standards, following reforms introduced in 2024
