Family of Yumn Rasheed Claims She Did Not Fall from Building on Her Own

The family of Hawwa Yumn Rasheed has come forward with new claims regarding the tragic incident on April 18, in which Yumn was found injured on the roof of a warehouse at H. Mitaaz. Speaking in a press conference tonight, her sister revealed that Yumn, who is currently recovering in Malaysia from the serious injuries sustained in the fall, has told them that she did not fall from the building on her own.

Yumn, who regained consciousness on May 4, has reportedly indicated to her family that others were involved in the incident. The family quoted her as saying that the fall was not accidental, but rather something that was done to her.

Dispute Over Police Findings

The family rejected the police's statement that Yumn and Raudh Ahmed Zilal, who was with her that night, had randomly entered H. Fentenoy—the building from which Yumn allegedly fell. Instead, Yumn’s sister emphasized that the building was one that Yumn had previously visited several times, and that she had gone there on the night of the incident following an invitation from Yoosuf Yassaar Abdul Ghafoor, a person previously named by the police as being with Yumn earlier that evening.

Additionally, the family confirmed that, besides Yumn, Raudh, and Yassaar, four other individuals were present at the scene that night, according to what Yumn had communicated to them.

Yumn’s Final Words

In her last conversation with her sister, Yumn reportedly asked, “Will there be justice? Are you sure justice will be served?” expressing concern about the investigation into the incident.

The police have so far stated that Yumn fell from a fanlight in the 9th-floor stairwell of the adjacent H. Fentenoy building, but the family’s latest claims raise questions about the circumstances surrounding the fall and whether it was truly an accident.

Yumn's recovery is ongoing, and her family continues to seek answers, demanding justice and further clarity in the case.
