HDC to Celebrate Hulhumale's 21st Anniversary with 'My Hulhumale' Festival

The Hulhumale' Development Corporation (HDC) has announced plans to host a vibrant week-long festival to celebrate the 21st anniversary of the settlement in Hulhumale'. The 'My Hulhumale' Festival will take place from May 10, 2025, and will feature a variety of events and activities for all age groups, with something for everyone to enjoy.

Spanning multiple locations throughout Hulhumale’, the festival will be held on different days across the island and will include a diverse range of activities, including:

1. Photo Competition
2. Family Carnival
3. Hulhumale' Discount Week
4. Health Camp
5. Hulhumale' Story Photo Walk
6. Fishing Race
7. Cycling Championship
8. Beach Fest

Hulhumale' was first populated on May 12, 2004, under the vision of President Maumoon Abdul Gayoom, who initially decided to settle the area in 1997. At the time, Hulhumale' was managed by the Hulhumale' Development Unit established at the President’s Office.

This festival aims to honor the growth and development of Hulhumale’ over the past two decades while fostering a sense of community among residents and visitors.
