Two Arrested in Drug Operation in Hulhumalé Phase 2

brahim Risfan (25) from Nekurendhoo/ Saaz and Mohamed Zain (36) from M. Villathkunnaragea were arrested in a drug operation carried out in Hulhumalé Phase 2 on April 19.
The operation, conducted by drug enforcement officers in collaboration with counter-narcotics intelligence, followed a tip-off. Authorities raided three apartments, as well as two cars and two motorcycles across three towers in Hulhumalé Phase 2. During the search, items believed to be drugs were recovered, with the total weight of the seized material estimated to be 968.6 grams.
Both suspects were produced before a local court, which remanded them into police custody for five days. The police investigation into the matter is ongoing.
This operation highlights ongoing efforts to combat drug-related crime in the region.
