The Housing Development Corporation (HDC) has announced the commencement of repair works on the critically damaged revetment at the Hulhumalé Phase I swimming track beach area, starting on 22 September 2025.

HDC has requested the public to remove any obstructions within the designated work areas to ensure smooth progress and avoid delays to the project timeline. The corporation further advised that it will not be safe to use the affected areas during the repair period and urged the public to refrain from entering the site.
