President Dr Mohamed Muizzu today witnessed the signing of eleven Memoranda of Understanding and Agreements between the Maldives and China, at a group signing ceremony held at the Wangfujing Hilton Hotel in Beijing.

The agreements cover cooperation in capacity building, economic development, infrastructure, and renewable energy, reflecting the commitment of both nations to deepen their longstanding partnership. These initiatives are expected to promote sustainable development and mutual prosperity.

President Dr Muizzu is on an official visit to China at the invitation of His Excellency Xi Jinping, President of the People’s Republic of China, to attend the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) Summit.
