Dhiraagu has contributed MVR 230,380 to the Ministry of Social and Family Development to support children under the care of the State, furthering its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) commitments.
The donation was handed over during a formal ceremony attended by officials from both Dhiraagu and the Ministry, with Minister Dr. Aishath Shiham receiving the funds on behalf of the Ministry. According to a post on X by the Ministry, the funds were raised through a special Ramadan programme conducted by Dhiraagu, aimed specifically at providing assistance to children in State care.
As one of the Maldives' leading telecommunications providers, Dhiraagu has made supporting children a core part of its CSR initiatives. In 2024 alone, the company raised over MVR 600,000 to assist organisations focused on child welfare and waived monthly internet fees for care homes to enhance access to education for children living in State care.
This latest contribution reflects Dhiraagu’s ongoing dedication to improving the lives of vulnerable children in the Maldives.
