Hafthaares Programme Begins  Veymandhoo

The opening ceremony of the Hafthaares Programme was held in Th. Veymandhoo today, marking the beginning of a week-long programme aimed at engaging young people across the atoll.

The programme will run from 11 to 18 August, featuring a range of activities focused on community building, leadership development, family engagement and healthy lifestyles.

Throughout the week, youth from across the atoll will have the opportunity to participate in community-building activities, leadership sessions, children and family evenings, and fitness programmes.

The initiative aims to provide young people with meaningful opportunities to connect with their communities, develop leadership skills and take part in positive recreational and social activities.

Hafthaares is being conducted in collaboration with the Ministry of Education, National Counter Terrorism Centre, Maldives Police Service and Th. Veymandhoo Council.

The week-long programme is expected to bring together young people, families and community members while promoting stronger community ties and positive youth engagement across Thaa Atoll.
