President Highlights Success of Marriott Apprenticeship Programme

President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has highlighted the continued success of the National Apprenticeship Programme, noting its role in creating pathways for young people to gain practical experience and connect with employment opportunities.
As a recent example, the President pointed to the Marriott International Maldives Apprenticeship Programme, which has connected 171 apprentices with training and work opportunities since its launch.
The programme also celebrated the graduation of 40 participants from its third cohort in 2026, further contributing to the development of a skilled and experienced workforce in the Maldives.
The National Apprenticeship Programme aims to equip young people with hands-on experience, industry knowledge and professional skills, helping them transition successfully into employment.
President Muizzu highlighted such initiatives as important investments in the future of Maldivian youth, providing opportunities for career growth while supporting the country’s economic and workforce development.
