14 Officials Complete Volleyball Referees Course in Kanduhulhudhoo

A total of 14 participants successfully completed the Volleyball Referees Course held in GA. Kanduhulhudhoo, marking another important step in the development of volleyball officiating in the Maldives.

The course, conducted from 23 July to 1 August, concluded with a closing ceremony attended by State Minister for Youth Empowerment, Sports and Fitness Ahmed Mohamed Waheed as the chief guest.

Organised by the Volleyball Association of Maldives in collaboration with the Secretariat of the Kanduhulhudhoo Council, the programme focused on enhancing participants' knowledge of the official rules of volleyball, match management, officiating techniques, and practical refereeing skills.

Speaking at the ceremony, officials highlighted the importance of producing qualified referees to support the continued growth of volleyball across the country and ensure high standards of officiating at local and national competitions.

The successful completion of the course by 14 new referees reflects the ongoing commitment of the Volleyball Association of Maldives and the Kanduhulhudhoo Council to strengthening the sport through education and capacity building.

The newly certified officials are expected to contribute to volleyball competitions throughout the Maldives, helping to improve the quality and professionalism of the game at all levels.
