Tottenham Hotspur produced a spirited performance with 10 men to come from behind and defeat Chelsea 2-1 in an entertaining pre-season friendly.

Chelsea made the brighter start and broke the deadlock in the 21st minute through Brazilian forward Estevão, who continued his impressive pre-season form by giving the Blues an early advantage.

Tottenham responded just before halftime when Sandro Tonali found the equaliser in the 45th minute, ensuring the two sides went into the break level at 1-1.

The match took another twist early in the second half when Tottenham defender Kevin Danso, who had come on as a substitute after the interval, was shown a red card in the 49th minute, reducing Spurs to ten men.

Despite being a player down, Tottenham refused to sit back and completed a dramatic comeback in stoppage time. Brazilian striker Richarlison emerged as the hero, scoring the winning goal deep into added time to seal a memorable 2-1 victory for Spurs.

The result showcased Tottenham's resilience and fighting spirit, overcoming both an early deficit and a numerical disadvantage to claim an impressive pre-season win over their London rivals.

While Chelsea will take positives from periods of their performance, Tottenham's determination and Richarlison's late strike ensured they finished the match celebrating another encouraging result ahead of the new season.
