KCFC26: NG Sports Storm Past ENFT with Five-Star Display

NG Starting made a dominant start to their Kaashidhoo Council Football Challenge 2026 campaign with an emphatic 5-1 victory over ENFT in a Group B clash.

The match was largely controlled by NG Starting, who produced an impressive attacking display to claim all three points and move to the top of Group B.

NG Starting took the lead in just the 4th minute of the first half, setting the tone for the match. Alim Abdul Gayoom doubled the advantage in the 20th minute, putting his side firmly in control.

ENFT responded three minutes later when Arushan Rasheed pulled one back to reduce the deficit to 2-1. However, NG Starting restored their two-goal cushion in the 30th minute, and the first half ended with NG Starting leading 3-1.

The second half belonged to Alim Abdul Gayoom. He scored again in the 50th minute to complete his hat-trick and make it 4-1. Just two minutes later, Ish'aaf Mohamed Firaq added the fifth goal, sealing a comprehensive victory for NG Starting.

For his outstanding performance and hat-trick, Alim Abdul Gayoom was deservedly named Man of the Match.

The tournament continues this evening with another exciting Group A encounter as MG Football Team (MGFT) take on Team Namaves. Kick-off is scheduled for 4:00 p.m. at the Kaashidhoo Football Stadium.
