Saudi Royal Arrives in Maldives as Guest of Honour for 61st Independence Day Celebrations

MALE', Maldives – His Royal Highness Prince Dr Mansour bin Mutaib bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Advisor to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, Minister of State and Cabinet Member of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, has arrived in the Maldives to attend the 61st Anniversary celebrations of the Independence of the Republic of Maldives.

Prince Dr Mansour is attending the national celebrations as the Guest of Honour on behalf of His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, at the invitation of President Dr Mohamed Muizzu.

Upon his arrival at Velana International Airport, His Royal Highness was warmly welcomed by Minister of Foreign Affairs Dr Abdulla Khaleel, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Iruthisham Adam, and Principal Secretary to the President on Foreign Relations Mohamed Naseer.

As part of the official arrival ceremony, His Royal Highness was accorded a Guard of Honour by the Maldives National Defence Force (MNDF), marking the commencement of his official visit to the Maldives.

The visit underscores the close and longstanding ties between the Maldives and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia as the two nations continue to strengthen cooperation across various sectors.
