Vommuli staged a remarkable comeback to defeat defending champions Velavaru and claim the Resort League title in an entertaining final.

Velavaru, who reached their third consecutive final after finishing second in the league and defeating third-placed Niyama in a penalty shootout in the playoff semi-final, made the perfect start to the match. Ahmed Shaihan opened the scoring in the 4th minute of the first half to give the defending champions an early advantage.

However, league leaders Vommuli responded strongly, with Amil Ali finding the equaliser in the 13th minute of the first half to send the teams into the break level at 1-1.

Vommuli took control after halftime. Amil Ali struck again in the 32nd minute of the second half to put his side ahead, before Ibrahim Adam extended the lead just three minutes later to make it 3-1.

Velavaru refused to surrender and reduced the deficit deep into extra time through Mohamed Shaah, setting up a tense finish. But Vommuli responded immediately as Amil Ali completed his hat-trick moments later, sealing a memorable victory and securing the championship for his team.

Amil Ali was the star of the final, scoring three goals and leading Vommuli's comeback triumph. The victory capped an impressive campaign for Vommuli, who finished top of the league standings and went on to claim the Resort League crown in style.
