Mode Shines at Malaysia Masters

Maldivian middle-distance runner Mohamed Rasheed delivered an outstanding performance at the Malaysia Masters Athletics Championship 2026, winning six medals and proudly representing the Maldives on the international stage.
Competing against experienced masters athletes from across the region, Rasheed showcased his endurance and versatility in multiple track events. His campaign was highlighted by a gold medal in the 1500 metres and another gold medal as part of the Medley Relay team.
In the individual events, Rasheed secured silver medals in the 400 metres, 800 metres and 3000 metres, demonstrating remarkable consistency across a wide range of distances. He also contributed to a silver-medal finish in the 4x400 metres relay, bringing his total medal tally to six.
The achievement reflects years of dedication and hard work by Rasheed, who has been one of the Maldives’ most accomplished masters athletes.
