MACL to Develop Multi-Sports Complexes in Vilimalé and Hulhumalé

The Ministry of Sports, Fitness and Recreation has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Maldives Airports Company Limited (MACL) to establish multi-sports complexes in Vilimalé and Hulhumalé Phase 1 and Phase 2.
The agreement was signed by Minister Abdulla Raafiu on behalf of the ministry and MACL CEO and Managing Director Ibrahim Shareef Mohamed for the company.
The initiative aligns with President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu’s vision to develop fitness and recreation centres nationwide by 2026, aiming to expand access to modern sports facilities and promote active lifestyles across the Maldives.
