BML Completes ATM Network in All Inhabited Islands of R. Atoll

Bank of Maldives (BML) has inaugurated self-service banking ATM services in R. Fainu under the “Mulhi Raajje ah BML ATM” initiative, marking the completion of ATM network coverage across all inhabited islands of R. Atoll.

The inauguration ceremony was attended by Minister of Cities, Local Government and Public Works Adam Shareef Umar, BML Chairperson Ahmed Ali Habeeb, BML CEO and Managing Director Mohamed Shareef, and senior officials of the Bank.

Speaking at the event, BML CEO and Managing Director Mohamed Shareef said:“With the establishment of ATM network in R. Atoll, we are one step closer to our goal of bringing accessible banking services across the Maldives. This marks the 16th atoll where our ATM services are available in every inhabited island.”

Along with Fainu, ATM services were also launched in Vaadhoo, Rasgetheemu, Angolhitheemu, Hulhudhuffaaru, Maakurathu, Innamaadhoo, and Rasmaadhoo.

With this expansion, BML now operates 42 branches across all 20 atolls, 188 Self Service Banking Centres, 246 ATMs, and advanced Digital Banking solutions. The Bank reaffirmed its commitment to supporting communities nationwide through innovative and accessible financial services.
