Holiday Inn Resort Kandooma Maldives has named Australian teenage surf sensations Will and Luca Martin as the resort’s 2025 Surfing Ambassadors. The brothers will visit the island paradise from 9–17 October 2025, bringing youthful energy and world-class surfing talent to one of the Maldives’ most iconic breaks, Kandooma Right.

The announcement comes as Kandooma celebrates being crowned Maldives’ Best Surf Resort at the Travel Trade Maldives 2025 Awards for the second year running.

At just 14, Luca Martin is ranked No. 2 in Australia’s U/16s and already boasts titles including the Queensland State Titles and the Billabong Occy Grom Comp. Known for his speed, power, and flow, Luca rides under Quiksilver sponsorship and is tipped as one of Australia’s next great surf exports.

His older brother Will Martin, 17, currently ranked No. 6 in Australia’s U/18s, has built a strong reputation as a natural waterman. A Mad Huey team rider, Will has already won the Open Men’s Barney Miller Surf Comp and trained at Hawaii’s legendary Billabong Pipe House, sharpening his barrel-riding skills.

During their October stay, the brothers will surf Kandooma Right and other nearby reef breaks, documenting their adventures on social media to inspire young Australian surfers to experience the Maldives.

Mark Eletr, General Manager of Holiday Inn Resort Kandooma Maldives, said:

The partnership with Perfect Wave, which manages Kandooma’s surfing program, ensures surfers enjoy a crowd-free, sustainable, and world-class experience while protecting the reef.

Guests visiting during the Martin brothers’ residency will enjoy a rare chance to watch two of Australia’s brightest surf prospects in action — and those booked on a Perfect Wave Surfing Holiday may even share the line-up with them.
