President Dr Mohamed Muizzu Appoints Two Members to the Human Rights Commission of the Maldives
President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has appointed Mr. Mohamed Shafeeg Mahmood and Mr. Ahmed Magsoom as members of the Human Rights Commission of the Maldives, in accordance with Article 190(b) of the Constitution of the Republic of Maldives and Section 5(a) of the Human Rights Commission Act (Act No. 6/2006).
The formal appointment ceremony was held this morning at the President’s Office.
Prior to their appointment, both appointees were sworn in by Supreme Court Justice Hon. Uz Mohamed Saleem, in accordance with official procedures. Following the oath-taking, President Dr Muizzu presented the newly appointed members with their formal letters of appointment.
