Kuwait Airways has announced the resumption of commercial flights to Colombo, Sri Lanka, starting October 26.

According to the Kuwait Times, the national carrier will operate four weekly services on Sundays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays.

In a press statement, the airline described Colombo as an important tourist destination for its passengers, adding that the relaunch reflects its commitment to meeting customer demand and expanding global travel options.

Kuwait Airways also reaffirmed its focus on growing its international network by introducing destinations that cater to diverse traveller needs, offering more choice and improved connectivity.

Founded in 1953 as Kuwait National Airways Limited, the airline began operations in March 1954. The Kuwaiti government took full ownership in 1962, establishing it as the country’s national carrier.
