Ooredoo Maldives Launches Samsung eSIM Wearables — A First in the Maldives

Ooredoo Maldives is proud to announce the launch of Samsung eSIM-enabled smartwatches, a groundbreaking first in the Maldives that allows customers to stay connected directly from their smartwatch—without needing their phone nearby. This innovative service is currently available for the Samsung Watch Ultra 7 LTE devices with the Maldives region enabled.
With this cutting-edge technology, users can make calls, send messages, stream music, and stay connected to their favorite apps—all from their Samsung smartwatch. The eSIM functionality ensures seamless and reliable connectivity, offering greater freedom and convenience for those on the move.

The Samsung eSIM wearable service is now available for all mobile customers, both prepaid and postpaid. It is offered free of charge for an initial period of 3 months, after which a monthly fee of MVR 199 will apply.
