HIH Welcomes Hospitality Veteran Hawwa Fareesha as New Hotel Manager

Hulhule Island Hotel has announced the appointment of Ms. Hawwa Fareesha as its new Hotel Manager, a move set to strengthen the property’s operations and guest service excellence. With over 28 years of hospitality experience, Ms. Fareesha brings a wealth of knowledge in hotel management, food and beverage, and guest relations from some of the Maldives’ most prestigious resorts and city hotels.

A Remarkable Journey in Hospitality

Ms. Fareesha’s career began humbly as a Restaurant Hostess at Banyan Tree Maldives Vabbinfaru and a Receptionist at Ihuru Island Resort. Her leadership journey took shape through various senior roles, including her pivotal contributions to the pre-opening of Le Méridien Maldives Resort & Spa, where she served as Assistant Food & Beverage Manager, leading SOP development and staff training across multiple outlets.

She further honed her leadership and operational acumen at iconic properties such as Soneva Fushi and Six Senses Spa, overseeing service delivery across restaurants, bars, and in-villa dining while spearheading staff development initiatives.

Proven Leadership in City Hotels

Beyond resort operations, Ms. Fareesha expanded her portfolio with strong leadership roles in city hotels and corporate management. She served as:

  1. HR Manager, View Builders Pvt Ltd
  2. General Manager, Marble Hotel, Somerset Hotel, and Coral Hotel & Spa
  3. Area General Manager, Intal Hotels – overseeing the performance and strategy of three city properties
