The National Hotels and Guesthouses Association of Maldives (NHGAM) proudly unveiled the 2025 edition of I AM Maldives at this year’s Arabian Travel Market (ATM). The launch ceremony was officiated by Minister of Tourism and Environment Thoriq Ibrahim, in the presence of MMPRC CEO and Managing Director Ibrahim Shiuree and NHGAM President Abdulla Nasheed.
Building on the success of its inaugural 2024 edition, I AM Maldives 2025 continues to celebrate the unique offerings of community-based tourism across the Maldives, with a focus on Culture, Community, and Connection. This year’s edition features a vibrant collection of authentic Maldivian experiences, traditional island life, and sustainable tourism initiatives found across the country’s inhabited islands.
The publication provides a vital platform for local guesthouses, hotels, and community-led ventures, amplifying their voices and connecting them to a global audience seeking genuine cultural immersion and eco-conscious travel.
First launched in 2024, I AM Maldives has quickly become an essential marketing tool for the Maldives’ expanding mid-market tourism sector. It enables smaller properties to reach international travelers through targeted marketing, helping increase occupancy while promoting equitable tourism development across the archipelago.
Thanks to the generous support of industry partners and sponsors, the 2025 edition will be distributed across all member islands and showcased at international tourism fairs, roadshows, and global travel exhibitions throughout the year.
NHGAM extends its heartfelt appreciation to all contributors who made this edition possible and looks forward to presenting I AM Maldives 2025 to the world—celebrating the authentic heart of Maldivian hospitality.
