President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has called on all Maldivians to celebrate Eid-ul-Fitr by spreading kindness and fostering unity. In his Eid address, the President emphasized that, as scholars have noted, the essence of Eid is to express gratitude to Almighty Allah for the opportunity to complete the fasting during the blessed month of Ramadan.
Highlighting the values of Ramadan, the President stated that the holy month strengthens bonds among Muslims through acts of kindness, the giving of sadaqat, the exchange of gifts, and the sharing of sincere well wishes. He urged citizens to carry these virtues forward beyond Ramadan and continue striving for self-improvement in their daily lives.
While encouraging people to enjoy the celebrations, the President advised that all actions should remain within the boundaries of Islam. He reaffirmed his Administration’s unwavering commitment to preserving the Maldives’ Islamic values and upholding the principles of the Holy Quran at the highest level.
The President conveyed his Eid-ul-Fitr greetings to the Maldivian people through a video message and a post on his official X account. In his post, he extended his best wishes, prayed for Almighty Allah to accept the fasting and prayers of the people, and expressed hope for a joyous and blessed Eid for all.
