BML Expands Self-Service Banking ATMs to All Inhabited Islands of HA. Atoll

Bank of Maldives has achieved a significant milestone in its nationwide banking expansion by introducing Self-Service Banking ATMs in seven islands of Haa Alifu Atoll. With the launch of these new services in Utheemu, Thuraakunu, Uligan, Mulhadhoo, Maarandhoo, Thakandhoo, and Muraidhoo, the bank has successfully extended ATM services to all inhabited islands of the atoll.
The official inauguration of the new ATMs took place today in ceremonies attended by the Minister of Tourism and Environment, the Minister of Economic Development and Trade, as well as senior executives of the bank, including the CEO and Managing Director, Chairperson, and Chief Business Officer. Speaking at the event, Bank of Maldives CEO and Managing Director Mohamed Shareef highlighted the transformative impact of this expansion, emphasizing the bank’s commitment to improving accessibility to banking services across the country.
"With the launch of ATMs across Haa Alifu Atoll under our ‘Mulhi Raajje ah BML ATM’ initiative, we are immensely pleased to have made great progress in our journey to expand access to banking across the Maldives. For individuals and businesses in Haa Alifu Atoll, today marks a transformative step, with 24/7 access to essential banking services on their residential island," he stated.
