New BML Self-Service ATM in Dh. Maaenboodhoo Inaugurated

President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has officially inaugurated a new self-service banking ATM of the Bank of Maldives (BML) in Dh. Maaenboodhoo, bringing a significant improvement to the island’s banking accessibility. The new service is expected to ease financial transactions for residents who previously faced difficulties due to the absence of an ATM.

Speaking at the ceremony, BML’s CEO and Managing Director, Mohamed Shareef, emphasized the importance of the initiative in addressing the financial challenges of the community. He stated that the launch of ATM services in Dh. Maaenboodhoo is part of BML’s continuous efforts to expand financial accessibility nationwide. He further highlighted that this expansion falls under the “Mulhi Raajje ah BML ATM project”, reaffirming the Bank’s commitment to enhancing self-service banking across the country.

The introduction of this service reinforces BML’s position as the country’s leading financial institution, which currently operates 39 branches across all 20 atolls, along with 96 self-service banking centres, 153 ATMs, comprehensive agent banking services, and advanced digital banking solutions. With this latest expansion, BML continues to demonstrate its commitment to providing reliable and innovative banking services that cater to the needs of communities across the Maldives.
