Bank of Maldives Announces Winners of Waste Management Grant Project

Bank of Maldives (BML) has revealed the winners of its Waste Management Grant Project, a pivotal initiative designed to support sustainable waste management efforts across the Maldives.

The grant aims to address waste challenges by equipping communities and organizations with the tools needed to promote efficient recycling and reduce landfill waste. This year’s recipients are:

  • Live and Learn Environmental Education Maldives
  • Maldives Ocean Plastic Alliance (MOPA)

By providing this specialized equipment, BML seeks to empower communities to process waste locally, contributing to more sustainable and eco-friendly practices.

“Through this initiative, we are investing in practical solutions to reduce waste and encourage recycling, aligned with our commitment to fostering sustainable communities and protecting the environment,” said a spokesperson from Bank of Maldives.

BML’s Waste Management Grant Project underscores the bank’s dedication to environmental stewardship and its vision for a cleaner, greener Maldives.
