STO Medical Services and Hulhumalé Hospital teamed up to celebrate Diabetes Day 2024 with a variety of events aimed at raising awareness about diabetes and promoting healthier living.

Active Engagement with the Aqua Fun Fest

A key highlight of the celebration was the Aqua Fun Fest, which brought together over 100 participants from corporate organizations. Hosted by the Maldives Defence Force, the event featured fun, interactive activities designed to encourage physical fitness and build stronger inter-organizational relationships.

Launch of the SD Biosensor Smart Glucometer

STO Medical Services unveiled the SD Biosensor Smart Glucometer, a state-of-the-art device from Korea. This innovative glucometer offers precise glucose monitoring with the added benefit of Bluetooth connectivity, allowing users to sync their data with smartphones for easy tracking and improved doctor-patient communication.

Workplace and Public Health Screenings
  1. November 14: The initiative started with a health screening session for Maldives Police Service staff, where individuals were checked for key health indicators such as blood glucose levels, blood pressure, and BMI. Attendees received personalized advice and consultations.
  2. November 16: A public health screening camp will be held at STO Hulhumalé Pharmacy (Hulhumalé Hospital) from 1:30 PM to 3:30 PM, offering similar health checks to the community.
Diabetes Patient Session

On November 17, 2024, an exclusive session tailored for diabetes patients will provide practical tips, lifestyle advice, and guidance on managing the condition effectively.
