President His Excellency Dr Mohamed Muizzu visited the Google Office in New York, where he was warmly welcomed by Google Public Sector CEO Karen Dahut. The visit included a comprehensive tour of the office and a meeting with key members of the Google team.
During the discussions, the President explored areas of collaboration aimed at enhancing the Maldives' digital infrastructure. The meeting covered crucial topics such as the integration of artificial intelligence (AI) in public service delivery, the promotion of digital literacy, and the development of data-driven solutions for climate resilience—a significant focus for the Maldives given its vulnerability to climate change.
The visit comes as part of President Dr Muizzu's trip to New York to attend the 79th United Nations General Assembly (UNGA). His engagements during the visit align with his administration’s commitment to advancing digital transformation and sustainable development in the Maldives.
