A brand-new community sports hub, the "N1 Sports Park," has officially opened to the public in Hulhumalé Phase 1, offering modern multi-sport facilities designed to boost local recreation and social well-being.
The park, developed on the plot of land adjacent to the Fiyavathi shelter, was inaugurated last night during a special ceremony featuring a series of celebratory kick-off matches. The opening was led by the Housing Development Corporation's (HDC) Managing Director, Brigadier General (Retd.) Ali Zuhair, alongside Hulhumalé community representative Ibrahim Naeem.
Modern Recreational Facilities
Developed as part of the government's ongoing initiative to expand sports infrastructure and improve the quality of life for Hulhumalé residents, the new park boasts several key amenities:
- A dedicated futsal ground
- A standard volleyball court
- A half-court basketball setup
- An integrated parking zone for visitors
Fostering Community Wellness
HDC highlighted that this project aligns with its broader commitment to promoting active lifestyles, adding to its previous community investments which include the installation of various outdoor gyms.
The corporation noted that the newly launched N1 Sports Park follows the successful opening of another multi-sport complex in Hulhumalé Phase 2, further solidifying efforts to ensure both phases have adequate access to quality sports venues.
