Cinnamon Maldives Elevates Direct Bookings with Personalised Island Experiences

Travellers continue to choose the Maldives for its clear lagoons, warm hospitality and experiences that feel personal and meaningful. As visitor expectations evolve, research indicates a strong preference for stays tailored to individual interests rather than standardised offerings. A recent Mews survey found that 68 percent of travellers prefer personalised experiences over generic rewards, with even stronger interest among Gen Z and high spending travellers.
Responding to this trend, Cinnamon Hotels and Resorts Maldives has refined its Book Direct value offering, placing greater emphasis on flexibility and guest choice. Under the updated structure, guests who book directly can select two curated experiences from a personalised list at each resort. In addition, resort credits are offered for stays of three nights or more, allowing guests to spend on dining, wellness and recreational activities based on their own preferences.
Members of Cinnamon Discovery, the brand’s loyalty programme, receive enhanced benefits depending on their membership tier. Silver members are entitled to two selected experiences, Gold members may select three experiences, while Platinum members receive access to all experiences listed at the resort they book.
At Cinnamon Velifushi Maldives, guests can choose from experiences such as a four course beach dinner, island hopping, a dolphin safari or a 45 minute spa treatment. Direct bookings of three nights or more also include resort credit worth USD 150 per room per stay.
Cinnamon Dhonveli Maldives offers curated experiences including a four course beach dinner, Balinese massage, island hopping adventure and guided swim and snorkel session. Guests booking three nights or more receive USD 100 in resort credit per room per stay.
At Cinnamon Hakuraa Huraa Maldives, available experiences include sunset fishing, island hopping, a sparkling bottle of beverage and a one hour double kayak experience. Resort credit of USD 100 per room per stay is offered for bookings of three nights or more.
Ellaidhoo Maldives by Cinnamon features experiences such as a four course beach dinner, Balinese massage, sunset fishing and a dolphin safari. Guests staying three nights or more also receive USD 100 in resort credit per room per stay.
Through this refined Book Direct offering, Cinnamon Hotels and Resorts Maldives aims to give travellers greater control over how they experience the destination, reinforcing the shift towards more personalised and meaningful island stays.
