Maldives Immigration has launched a new programme titled ‘Immigration Insights’, aimed at providing the public with clearer information on immigration services and dispelling common misunderstandings.

The programme was officially inaugurated at a ceremony in Malé on 3 September by Minister of Homeland Security and Technology Ali Ihusaan. Senior officials, including Controller General of Immigration Ahmed Faseeh, Deputy Controller Ahmed Ashfan, and officers, were also present.

According to Immigration, the initiative is part of broader efforts to enhance transparency and make services more accessible to both locals and foreigners. ‘Immigration Insights’ will provide guidance on frequently raised issues such as passport photo requirements, sponsorship declarations, and dependent visa applications. Information will be delivered through short videos and social media posts, with episodes scheduled to begin streaming this month.

Speaking at the launch, Controller General Faseeh said the programme will ensure the public receives accurate and timely information, reflecting Immigration’s commitment to improving service delivery and building trust with the community.

The ceremony also showcased three ongoing service enhancement campaigns at Maldives Immigration: Serve with a Smile, Integrity First, and Uphold Humanity, which aim to strengthen customer service culture. As part of the event, Masood Ali, Founder of Empowering All, conducted a session on improving service engagement and workplace culture. Minister Ihusaan also met directly with immigration officers, addressing work-related concerns and discussing ways to support their responsibilities.
