Maldives and Dominica Sign Visa Waiver Agreement

News
Ahmed Shurau

The Government of the Republic of Maldives and the Government of the Commonwealth of Dominica have signed an Agreement on Mutual Exemption of Visa Requirements, granting citizens of both nations visa-free entry for up to 30 days.

The Agreement was signed at the Permanent Mission of the Maldives to the United Nations in New York, by Dr Ali Naseer Mohamed, Permanent Representative of the Maldives to the United Nations, and Philbert Aaron, Permanent Representative of Dominica to the United Nations.

The new arrangement marks a significant milestone in strengthening bilateral relations and is expected to facilitate greater people-to-people exchange, deepen diplomatic engagement, and promote tourism, cultural exchange, and economic cooperation between the two island nations.

Both governments expressed confidence that this development would further enhance connectivity and mutual understanding between the Maldives and Dominica, laying the foundation for broader collaboration in the years ahead.
