VP Highlights Importance of Tackling Hybrid Warfare on Huravee Day

Vice President Uz Hussain Mohamed Latheef stressed the growing threat of hybrid warfare and the importance of equipping the nation, especially the youth, with the technical skills needed to counter it effectively.

Speaking at the Huravee Day ceremony, he underlined the dangers of modern tactics aimed at undermining social cohesion, economic stability, and national unity.

He emphasized the need for vigilance and technical expertise, urging young people to uphold the nation's legacy and actively engage in initiatives to strengthen cybersecurity, identify threats, and combat disinformation. The Vice President described such measures as essential for safeguarding national interests and freedoms in an era of technological advancement and artificial intelligence.

Acknowledging President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu’s efforts to enhance cooperation, internal security, and military capacity, the Vice President praised the President’s commitment to development, social security, and global prestige. Concluding his speech, he prayed for the nation’s continued success and honoured the sacrifices of national heroes like Dhonban’daarain.
