Transport Minister Ameen Begins Official Visit to Saudi Arabia

Minister of Transport and Civil Aviation, Mohamed Ameen, has embarked on an official visit to Saudi Arabia, following an invitation from Saudi Arabia’s Transport and Logistics Minister, Saleh bin Nasser Al Jasser, and the President of the General Authority of Civil Aviation, Abdulaziz Al-Duailej.
The Ministry of Transport and Civil Aviation announced on X that Minister Ameen’s visit, which began on Monday, will focus on discussions aimed at establishing regulatory frameworks to enhance safety measures within the transportation sector. The visit underscores the commitment of both nations to strengthening bilateral ties, particularly in the area of transportation safety.
During his visit, Minister Ameen is scheduled to meet with key Saudi government officials to explore avenues for collaboration and share best practices in transport safety and logistics.
This visit follows a recent official trip by the Maldivian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Moosa Zameer, who also traveled to Saudi Arabia. During his visit, Minister Zameer met with his Saudi counterpart, Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al-Saud. The discussions between Zameer and Al-Saud centered on the long-standing relations between the Maldives and Saudi Arabia, exploring areas of mutual benefit, and expanding cooperation between the two nations.
