Maldives Airports Company Limited (MACL) CEO and Managing Director Ibrahim Shareef Mohammed has reiterated the company’s unwavering commitment to supporting children with autism across all areas of operation.
Speaking at the opening ceremony of “Art of Mind” 2025, an exhibition showcasing the artistic talents of children with autism organized by the Maldives Autism Association, CEO Shareef emphasized MACL’s vision of maintaining an open and inclusive environment for children with autism and their families.
The CEO also praised the humanitarian contributions of Ilham Hussein, who has supported children with autism since 2010, describing her efforts as a service to humanity rather than just national or personal work.
MACL’s commitment to diversity and inclusion is reflected in its ongoing initiatives, including employment opportunities for individuals with disabilities and support for autism-related programs. The company previously featured artworks from the 2023 “Art of Mind” exhibition in its 2024 corporate calendar, offering encouragement and recognition to children in the arts.
This partnership aligns with MACL’s broader corporate social responsibility agenda, reinforcing its role in promoting inclusive practices and creating meaningful opportunities for vulnerable communities in the Maldives.
The “Art of Mind” exhibition continues to highlight the importance of awareness, acceptance, and empowerment for children with autism, demonstrating how collaborative efforts can drive positive social impact.
