Visit Maldives showcases Maldivian cuisine at Worldchefs Congress 2026

Visit Maldives Corporation (VMC) is showcasing the Maldives’ rich culinary heritage and gastronomy experiences at the Worldchefs Congress & Expo 2026 currently taking place in the United Kingdom.

Held from 16 to 19 May at the International Convention Centre Wales, the global event brings together leading chefs, culinary educators, hospitality professionals, and industry leaders from around the world.

Through its participation, VMC is promoting the Maldives as a leading gastronomy destination by highlighting traditional Maldivian cuisine alongside world-class dining experiences offered across luxury resorts in the country.

Visitors to the Maldives stand are experiencing live demonstrations of authentic Maldivian dishes, while the delegation is also engaging with chefs, hospitality stakeholders, travel trade professionals, and international media.

VMC said the event provides an important platform to strengthen international partnerships, increase destination visibility, and support continued tourism growth in key markets.

The participation also aligns with Visit Maldives’ broader efforts to promote experiential tourism and diversify the destination’s global appeal.
