The President Attends the Official Ceremony Marking China’s Victory Day

His Excellency President Dr Mohamed Muizzu attended the Commemoration of the 80th Anniversary of the Victory of the Chinese People in the Second World War this morning at Tiananmen Square, Beijing, at the invitation of His Excellency Xi Jinping, President of the People’s Republic of China.
The commemorative ceremony was presided over by President Xi Jinping, alongside senior leadership of the People’s Republic of China. Several heads of state and government leaders currently in China for the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Summit 2025 were also in attendance at the ceremony.
Following the commemoration, President Xi Jinping hosted a reception at the Great Hall of the People in honour of the distinguished guests.
President Dr Mohamed Muizzu is presently on an official visit to the People’s Republic of China, at the invitation of President Xi Jinping, to participate in the SCO Summit 2025.
