Adidas Reports Data Breach Affecting Customer Contact Information

Global sportswear giant Adidas has confirmed that an unauthorized party gained access to certain consumer data through a third-party customer service provider.

According to the company, the compromised information mainly includes contact details of consumers who had previously contacted Adidas’ customer service help desk. Importantly, sensitive information such as passwords, credit card numbers, and other payment-related details were not affected by the breach.

Adidas is currently in the process of notifying customers who may have been impacted and is cooperating with relevant data protection authorities and law enforcement agencies in line with legal obligations.

In an official statement, Adidas said, “We remain fully committed to protecting the privacy and security of our consumers, and sincerely regret any inconvenience or concern caused by this incident.”

The company has assured customers that it is taking measures to strengthen its data security and prevent future incidents.
