Marcus Rashford Expected to Miss Rest of the Season with Hamstring Injury

Marcus Rashford, the on-loan Aston Villa forward, is expected to miss the remainder of the season after sustaining a hamstring injury. The extent of the injury, which forced the 27-year-old to sit out of Villa’s FA Cup semi-final defeat against Crystal Palace on Saturday, is still being assessed.
Although it is not entirely ruled out that Rashford could make a return before the end of the Premier League campaign, it is more likely that he will prioritize recovery to be ready for England's international matches in June. This includes a World Cup qualifier against Andorra and a friendly against Senegal.
If Rashford does manage to return before the season concludes, his final league appearance for Villa this term would likely come against Tottenham Hotspur on May 18, as he is ineligible to feature in Villa’s final match of the campaign against Manchester United on May 25 due to his loan agreement.
Rashford was spotted at the high-profile boxing match between Chris Eubank Jr and Conor Benn at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Saturday, further suggesting he is taking a break from football matters.
Rashford has also made it clear that he will not be discussing his future with any clubs until later in the summer. Although his contract with Manchester United runs through to 2028, he has stated he does not expect to play under Ruben Amorim, United’s newly appointed manager.
The forward was recalled to the England squad in March by Thomas Tuchel after being omitted from the initial Euro 2024 squad, and his involvement in upcoming international fixtures is expected.
