Minister Zameer sends Europe Day greetings to the leadership of the European Union

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Maldives, Moosa Zameer sends a message of felicitations to His Excellency Josep Borrell Fontelles, High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs on the occasion of Europe Day.

Minister’s message reads as follows:

On behalf of the Government and the people of the Republic of Maldives, it is with great pleasure that we offer our sincere felicitations to Your Excellency, as well as the leadership and people of the European Union on Europe Day.

The enduring relationship between the European Union (EU) and the Maldives celebrates its 41st anniversary of diplomatic ties this year. The EU has consistently stood as a steadfast partner in the Maldives’ democratic journey, making significant contributions to our nation’s progress and development. The Maldives continues to benefit from development initiatives by EU, especially on good governance and green recovery. We therefore look forward to enhancing and broadening this existing partnership with EU.
