President officiates oath-taking and firearm presentation ceremony for the graduates of MNDF's 70th basic training course

President Dr Mohamed Muizzu, the Commander-in-Chief of the Maldives National Defence Force (MNDF), has officiated the oath-taking and arms presentation ceremony for the graduates of MNDF's 70th Basic Training Course.
At the ceremony held at Girifushi Island this evening, Supreme Court Justice Uz Mahaz Ali Zahir administered oaths to the graduating soldiers. President Dr Muizzu, the Commander-in-Chief of the MNDF, presented arms to the soldiers.
The MNDF's 70th Basic Training Course began on October 28, 2023. Of the 135 recruits in the batch, 98 successfully completed the programme, including 9 female and 89 male officers.
The MNDF Special Forces presented the 'Special Forces Operation Display' to the President at the ceremony.
